Valparai is the place where we (me, my sister and brother) used to go during our summer vacations when we were young school going kids; because our dad and mom was in Valparai. My dad was working in a tea estate which comes under BBTC and mom was a high school teacher. Because of the lack of good schools in Valparai; we were forced to stay along with our grandmother and completed our studies in Kochi, Kerala. After a long time, along with my kid and husband I visited Valparai during Sept. 2009. The most prestigious, impressive, inspiring and pollution free greenish heavenly land Valparai, a Municipality of Coimbatore district in Tamilnadu, is located above 3,500 feet from the sea level on the Anamalai Hills range of Western Ghats. Everybody loves holidays because during our holidays we can relax and have fun. We get enough time to travel. As usual during this summer holidays we planned a family get together. Unfortunately almost all tourist places were booked and there was no place for us to stay. So we were compelled to plan a one day trip near to our place. At last we got one resort near Cherai beach. We got this only because my cousin brother's friend is running this resort. The resort is facing towards the beach. We can enjoy the beauty of the sunset sitting on the top of the resort. They charged Rs.500/- per head. They gave us food and two rooms. We reached the resort by 11 o’clock. From the resort there is a narrow way towards the beach; through which we can enter into the beach. We kept our luggage in the rooms and went to the beach.
