Cherai Beach, Kerala, India

Everybody loves holidays because during our holidays we can relax and have fun. We get enough time to travel. As usual during this summer holidays we planned a family get together. Unfortunately almost all tourist places were booked and there was no place for us to stay. So we were compelled to plan a one day trip near to our place. At last we got one resort near Cherai beach. We got this only because my cousin brother's friend is running this resort. The resort is facing towards the beach. We can enjoy the beauty of the sunset sitting on the top of the resort. They charged Rs.500/- per head. They gave us food and two rooms. We reached the resort by 11 o’clock. From the resort there is a narrow way towards the beach; through which we can enter into the beach. We kept our luggage in the rooms and went to the beach. Munambam Beach, Ernakulam, Kerala

Munambam beach is the place where the River Periyar flows into the Arabian Sea. Situated at the northern end (5 kms) of Cherai Beach.To protect the harbor mouth, two ramparts are constructed into the sea to about half kilometer using granite stones and concrete blocks. To reach munambam beach - The Cochin International Airport is located 20 kms away. The nearest railway station is at Aluva, situated about 22 km away. The beach is around 30km from the Kochi city. From Ernakulam city - Marine Drive & through the Goshree bridges - Vypeen island – Cherai beach – Munambam beach. From Aluva – North Paravur – munambam beach Neat and well maintained beach. We reached there by 10.30 morning. This is the entrance of the beach. Like Fort cochin Beach, Chinese Fishing nets are one of the most beautiful attractions of this beach.
