Cherai Beach, Kerala, India

Everybody loves holidays because during our holidays we can relax and have fun. We get enough time to travel. As usual during this summer holidays we planned a family get together. Unfortunately almost all tourist places were booked and there was no place for us to stay. So we were compelled to plan a one day trip near to our place. At last we got one resort near Cherai beach. We got this only because my cousin brother's friend is running this resort. The resort is facing towards the beach. We can enjoy the beauty of the sunset sitting on the top of the resort. They charged Rs.500/- per head. They gave us food and two rooms. We reached the resort by 11 o’clock. From the resort there is a narrow way towards the beach; through which we can enter into the beach. We kept our luggage in the rooms and went to the beach. It was very hot and the kids were very tired. We spent around 1 hr in the beach and came back to the resort. This was the first person we met in the beach. His friends w...

Munambam beach is the place where the River Periyar flows into the Arabian Sea. Situated at the northern end (5 kms) of Cherai Beach. To protect the harbor mouth, two ramparts are constructed into the sea to about half kilometer using granite stones and concrete blocks. To reach munambam beach - The Cochin International Airport is located 20 kms away. The nearest railway station is at Aluva, situated about 22 km away. The beach is around 30km from the Kochi city. From Ernakulam city - Marine Drive & through the Goshree bridges - Vypeen island – Cherai beach – Munambam beach. From Aluva – North Paravur – munambam beach Neat and well maintained beach. We reached there by 10.30 morning. This is the entrance of the beach. Like Fort cochin Beach, Chinese Fishing nets are one of the most beautiful attractions of this beach. We will get fresh fish from here. But the cost seems to be high. No one was there to disturb our freedom. It was very calm and quiet. It is one of the few places w...

Trip to Bangalore, Bennarghatta National Park

Image
During Easter holidays we decided to go to Bangalore to see my sister and brother who were settled in Bangalore. Got 4 days leave. Started from my place on 31st March night by 9.30 and reached Bangalore next day morning by 9.30. The atmosphere was very cool and i came to know from my brother that its because of the heavy rain in the previous day. My sis also came to my brother's house and we went for shopping. As usual this time also we gave more importance to shopping and bought lot of things from there.. especially bags (which i felt very cheap, comparing with Kerala price). Shivaji nagar is the best place for shopping. All the price seems to be reasonable. You will get bags and footwears for Rs. 100/- which looks pretty good in its appearance. Quality wise it may not be that much good. After finishing shopping we got one day for roaming. We planned to visit a place which is very near to Bangalore city. And finally we decided to visit Bennarghetta National Park. When you are...
