Trip to Bangalore, Bennarghatta National Park

During Easter holidays we decided to go to Bangalore to see my sister and brother who were settled in Bangalore. Got 4 days leave. Started from my place on 31st March night by 9.30 and reached Bangalore next day morning by 9.30. The atmosphere was very cool and i came to know from my brother that its because of the heavy rain in the previous day. My sis also came to my brother's house and we went for shopping. As usual this time also we gave more importance to shopping and bought lot of things from there.. especially bags (which i felt very cheap, comparing with Kerala price). Shivaji nagar is the best place for shopping. All the price seems to be reasonable. You will get bags and footwears for Rs. 100/- which looks pretty good in its appearance. Quality wise it may not be that much good. After finishing shopping we got one day for roaming. We planned to visit a place which is very near to Bangalore city. And finally we decided to visit Bennarghetta National Park.

When you are planning for a one day trip from bangalore city u can select Bennarghetta National park. Kids will really enjoy the Safari. Bennarghetta National Park is around 22 kms away from Bangalore city. It comprises the National Park, an Aquarium, a Zoo, Children's park, Crocodile Farm, Snake park, Prehistoric animals park , a Museum and a Butterfly Park. Safaris to see tigers and lions in vehicles and on elephants is the main attraction of the Park.

We reached the entrance by 11 o'clock and found a big queue before the gate for taking tickets. Safari costs Rs.80 for weekdays and Rs 125 on holidays and weekends. Open 9 am to 5 pm everyday except Tuesdays.

The first animal we saw was deers. The truck stopped this place for us to take pics.

The tiger was taking rest under a tree after food. The truck again stopped to take photos. And the driver requested us to close the window of the truck. Mean while one man threw a plastic bottle to attract him.

We can see lot of black bears roaming here and there with their friends.

came to drink water.
The most attraction is the white tigers which is very large in size. I really shocked to see their size. Tried a lot to take a good picture. but got these two pictures

My daughter was very happy that she saw a zebra alive.

crocodile farm

Elephant Safari is also available.

Park is also there for kids with different types of swings.

We really enjoyed this trip, especially our kids. The park/ zoo is well maintained, neat and clean.
