Incredible Munnar

We planned a short trip to Munnar. I visited Munnar before, 3 to 4 times, along with
my school / college mates and along with my family. This trip we planned only for our
kid. My daughter is having two intimate friends. Their friendship started from their pre-kg classes. We, their parents , are also good friends now. We don't really want to break their friendship. We selected Munnar because of the cool climate. I was sure that kids will really enjoy the climate and the place.

We booked a Qualis and started the journey by 1.30 p.m. from Ernakulam. It was very hot.

It's the place you would love to visit - it's the place you would wish never to leave
Incredible Munnar
The name Munnar is believed to be derived from the Malayalam / Tamil words Munu
(three) and aaru (river), referring to the town's strategic location at the confluence of the Muthirappuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly rivers.

We stayed in a resort called Ayur County near chinnakkanal which is around 7 to 8 km away from Munnar Town. The spot is enriched with the scenic view of the Western Ghat ranges. View from the resort was really awesome. We did not get time to explore the resort because we reached there by 8.30 p.m and it was really cold. The temperature level was 16 / 17 degree C. I wore 2 sweaters but I was shivering like anything. Kids played in the park area inside the resort till 9.30 p.m. And I am really surprised to note that they were lease bothered about the cold climate. They were not ready to wear the sweaters.

We got a single villa with 3 bed rooms. Rooms and other facilities were good. We can watch the sunrise from our room which was really awesome. I took step by step photos of the sunrise.

We had break fast from the resort which was complementary and really tasty. We checked out from the resort by 10 a.m and went to Munnar town and other places.

The nearest major railway stations are at Ernakulam and Aluva (approximately 110km by road). The nearest airport is Cochin International Airport, which is 105km away.

We got a chance to  visit one of my friends house who is working in the Tea company. His house was blessed with beautiful flowers and vegetables.

View point was covered with mist. It was a beautiful experience.

The region in and around Munnar varies in height from 2,000 meters (6,562 ft) to 2,600 meters (8,530 ft) above mean sea level

We stopped this place just to take photos... beautiful scenery .. green green everywhere...  I don't know the name of this spot.
